Say cheese!

I guess that words are kind of superfluous. A tapir. Smiling. I think.
Or maybe it just has digestive problems. I guess it’s quite hard to tell with tapirs…

Macro Flower

I experimented with my macro lens and took flower pictures all over our garden. I found this flower in a pot on the porch though. I like the shallow depth of field that this lens (Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L) can give you. I think the colors were rather nice too.

Those Shades!

I try to improve my street photo skills whenever I get the opportunity. On this summer day I was on a photowalk with a good friend in the capital. I saw this cool girl with a pair of really cool shades. I’m not sure, but it looks like she saw me taking her picture. She doesn’t seem to mind though.

Cloudy at the top

It might be quite hard to tell, but this is actually the famous Mount Fuji. It was still a bit too early in the season, so we couldn’t climb all the way to the top. There was way too much snow. And due to the clouds up there, we could only see about 10-15 meters ahead. From this angle I think the clouds look kinda cool though.

Morning by the river

It was an early autumn morning. The alarm woke me up at about 05:00. I brought my thermos with hot coffee and set off to the bridge over Dalälven. The water was almost perfectly still. Not many sounds. Not many people around at that hour. It was cold as heck out there on the bridge. But man! That was a nice morning!

Kid on fire!

On Koh Lanta we were lucky to enjoy this fire show. One of the performers was this kid. Ok, he looks a bit like a blurry ghost now, but that’s just due to the long exposure. I can assure you that he was very much alive. And very talented!

BW Animal

I like zebras! They are so photogenic! Unfortunately I’ve only seen them at the zoo. :( I would love to see them in the wild some day, in their natural environment. I think I need to plan a trip to Africa…

Sunset on Cape Cod

A few years ago I visited a couple of friends in Boston. During our visit, we did a day trip to Cape Cod. Man, that was a nice day! Nice weather, nice friends and good food. The day ended with a nice colorful sunset. I think it’s kinda cool to see the sun go down into the ocean when you’re on the east coast.

Evening bath

It was a sunny early summer evening. The air was warm and the water was… well, the water was quite cold actually. That didn’t stop my little girl though. She wanted an evening bath before sunset. Luckily I didn’t need to join her in the water. I mean, I couldn’t. I was holding the camera… :)

Nightlights in Kuala Lumpur

We rented a little apartment in central Kuala Lumpur. The standard was quite low, but the location was great. There was a construction site across the road, but from the 9th floor, the view was rather nice anyway. Especially after sunset.
