A colleague and I were on a road trip in Japan. One of the stops was in Kanazawa where we visited Kenroku-en. Needless to say we took quite a few photos there. This is a classic view from that wonderful garden.
I was a bit surprised when I looked through my photos from a day in the capital. This one didn’t exactly turn out the way I planned, but I think it’s kinda cool showing the speed of the bike commuter.
A few years ago I used to play around quite a lot with different photo editing apps on my iPhone. I don’t do that all that much anymore, but I think I should. I just found this old photo and I think it almost looks like a painting of colorful autumn leaves.
Me and my son were browsing through some pictures. When we came to the pictures from the fire show on Klong Jark Beach, he said it looked like fire donuts. And I guess he’s right.
The view from this hill was quite nice and the sunset was colorful. I like the way the sun went down between the two towers in the distance. I think it makes their silhouettes stand out rather nicely.
This shot is taken with a little pocket camera a few years before I bought my first DSLR. When we traveled along the coast on Sri Lanka we saw these fishermen sitting on these poles a few meters out in the water. It didn’t look comfortable at all…
I’m not sure why, but someone apparently thought it was a good idea to hang shells and stuff in this old tree. And I have to admit, even though I think it’s a bit too much, it makes it look a bit more interesting.
It wasn’t as warm as it might appear. It was actually quite windy and cold. The view of the horizon was nice though. For this shot however, I turned my back to the sea and faced the grass covered dunes.
When in a new city, I enjoy walking around at random, almost getting lost and taking lots of photos. I’m glad I brought my tripod that evening in Gothenburg. I really like taking these shots, but it’s almost even more fun to post-process them.
I’ve lost count on how many photos I’ve taken of the sunset in Nai Yang. I think this one is pretty cool where you can see the beams of the sun reaching up towards the sky, while the sun has already passed the horizon.
