I’m not really a big fan of heights. Despite this aversion, I went to the Langkawi SkyCab and stepped into a gondola that took me to the top. This photo is from our way down again. The view was breathtaking.
I have no idea what the name of this flower is. It’s quite nice though and grows on one of the bushes in our garden. I took this photo with my old iPhone 4 and edited it in Tangled FX to get this cartoon look.
One of the favorite places from our backpacking trip was Koh Lipe. The color of the water was just amazing. A short distance from the beach, these poles rose out of the water. I guess they might be part of an old jetty or something, but they don’t seem to be in use anymore…
This was one of those nights, when the moon is full and bright. And also rather beautiful. I would like to have a lens with a bit more range, so that I would be able to study this ball a bit more closely.
I have a soft spot for bokeh photos. I prefer them with many different and vibrant colors. In this case, however, I saw a nice pattern instead of nice colors.
This photo is from when I played around (more often) with fun effects on my iPhone. This particular effect gives the motive a bit more edges and glowing colors. I think it’s kinda cool.
It was a new experience for me to celebrate Christmas in a city like Kuala Lumpur. One evening we enjoyed a music and light show behind Petronas Towers. It was really cool!
I spent a few days for work in the southwest and found this spot to enjoy the sunset. The sky wasn’t quite as colorful as I would have liked, but it was a nice place anyway.
On Koh Lanta the beach was full of these little fellows. They were extremely fast and quite shy, so they weren’t that easy to spot. With slow movements and quite a lot of zoom, I finally managed to capture this one in the frame.
We have a small tree with winter apples in our garden. Often the snow falls before the fruit is ripe and ready to be eaten. I don’t mind though. They are tasty and worth waiting for.
