Fisherman at work

This photo is from long ago when I visited Sri Lanka. When traveling along the coast we saw fishermen sitting on poles a few meters out in the water. It didn’t look very comfy if you ask me…

Strings

I’m not much of a musician, but I like instruments. I find many of them (but not all) rather beautiful with many interesting details. When looking at this old photo though, I’m mostly wondering what that reflection on the left is…

Moved out

Kissamos is one of my favorite travel destinations. It’s not too big so you can get lost. But still big enough to have some interesting side streets and buildings. This one isn’t in very good shape I guess, but I still find it quite interesting.

Pale day by the lake

It was in the middle of summer. That much I know. But I don’t remember where this photo was taken. It seems to be a rather pale day anyway and perhaps not worth remembering. Anyhow, I quite like the photo.

Just passin’ by…

Those teeth look rather nasty to me. I’m glad I didn’t meet this one in the ocean. Instead I saw it through the wall of a glass tunnel. It seemed quite oblivious of me though. Just passin’ by…

On the gravel road

Walking back to our bungalow from the small shop, I took this quick snapshot. The sun was blazing and these palmtrees weren’t giving much shade on my walk along the gravel road. Luckily I was heading for the beach.

Good start

A walk along this beach was a rather nice way to start the new year. Too bad though, that it was full of plastic garbage brought in to the beach by the waves.

Rocks with structure

I really liked the morning walks on the beach on Koh Lanta. The sand between my toes, the relaxing sound of the waves and the warm morning light. These rocks, that were covered with acorn barnacles, caught the light pretty well I think.

Morning panorama

Here is another photo from an early morning on Langkawi. I’m not sure why but the colors on the Langkawi sky were something special. Something that I don’t think I’ve seen in many other places.

Late summer light

I captured this photo on my way to pick up the kids from school. Trying to see the neighborhood in a different light, I used my full-spectrum converted camera and a 720nm filter.
