Urban forest

This is what we first saw when we entered Gardens by the Bay in Singapore. On the left you see two pretty big greenhouses: Flower Dome and Cloud Forest and on the right is the Supertree Grove. If you ever visit Singapore, be sure to pay a visit to Gardens by the Bay.

The hills of Cameron Highlands

During our short visit to Cameron Highlands, Malaysia, we visited this place two times. I really like the rolling green hills in this tea plantation and I could probably spend hours walking around here taking photos and enjoying the landscape.

One of many

I have many photos of sunsets and quite a few of them were taken on Langkawi. Well, there is a simple reason for that: I like sunsets and they were really nice on Langkawi.

I might have mentioned before that I’m not really a big fan of heights. But the panoramic view from the top makes it worth the risk. There were a few clouds out there over the sea blurring the horizon, but still…

Colorfully white

I’m not really sure, but I think I took this photo somewhere in Singapore a few days before Christmas. I have no idea what the name of this flower is, but I thought it was pretty.

Under the palm trees

Almost every evening on Langkawi, we walked along the beach under the palm trees watching the sun set in the sea. In my opinion it was a rather nice way to spend the evening.

Warm waters

I admit it: I miss traveling!
After more than a year without traveling I feel the need to travel in my dreams. To close my eyes, smell the sea, feel a warm breeze in my hair and the hot sand under my feet and to hear the kids play in the warm waters of South East Asia…

Infrared insect

I was out for a short walk in the neighborhood exploring my newly bought full-spectrum converted camera. On my way back I saw this nice flower with its little guest. To my surprise the insect didn’t move when I approached, but allowed me to take this photo.

Moody morning

I realize that the title “Moody morning” makes it sound as if I were in a bad mood. But that was not the case at all. My daughter and I were just visiting this beach to see if it would be a good place to enjoy the sunrise. The sky, however, looked quite moody…

Evening view

After a long car trip it felt good to stand outside on the porch for a while enjoying the sunset over a winter landscape.
